How KANJU LTD collects, uses, and protects your information.
This Privacy Policy explains how KANJU LTD ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use the Dr Asif Diet mobile application and the website at drasifdiet.com (together, the "Service"). KANJU LTD is a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 14762643) and is the data controller for your personal data.
Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:
We do not collect payment card details. All payments are processed by Apple or Google as the seller of record.
Information about your weight, height, BMI, body composition, food intake, and physical activity is treated as sensitive personal information (often called special category or health data) under data protection and privacy laws around the world, including UK and EU data protection law and consumer health data laws in various other countries.
We therefore ask for your explicit consent to process this information before you begin using the app. You give this consent separately, and you can withdraw it at any time, either by deleting your data in the app, or by emailing us. If you withdraw consent, we will no longer be able to provide you with a plan, and your data will be deleted.
Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdrew it.
We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis for processing (as in the UK, the EU, and many other countries), we rely on the following. The exact legal terms vary by country, but the substance is the same:
The app's AI coach is powered by a third-party AI provider. When you use the coach, your messages are sent to that provider in order to generate a response. We send no more personal information than is necessary to provide the feature, and we do not use your coach conversations to identify you to third parties or for advertising. The AI coach provides general information only and does not provide medical advice.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising or marketing purposes. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the Service, for example, secure cloud hosting and database services, subscription and analytics infrastructure, and the AI provider that powers the coach. These providers act on our instructions, are bound by contract to protect your data, and may use it only to provide their service to us.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Your data is stored on secure servers and protected with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit. While no system can be guaranteed completely secure, we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
The Service is available internationally, and some of our service providers, for example, cloud hosting or the provider that powers the AI coach, may process data on servers located in a different country from where you live. Whenever your data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected by appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses, recognised transfer agreements, or an adequacy decision, and we require our providers to protect your data to a comparable standard wherever it is processed.
We keep your personal data only for as long as your account is active, or as long as needed to provide the Service to you. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised, other than any records we are required to keep by law (for example, records relating to transactions, or evidence of the consents you gave). We keep consent records for as long as necessary to demonstrate our compliance.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, use the options in the app or email us at admin@drasifdiet.com. We will respond within one month.
You have the right to complain to the data protection or privacy authority in your country. If you are in the UK, that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, and KANJU LTD is registered with the ICO as a data controller. If you are elsewhere, you may contact your local data protection or consumer authority. We would also always welcome the chance to resolve any concern directly first, please contact us at admin@drasifdiet.com.
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. The app applies a hard age check at sign-up and will not allow use by under-18s. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the site function and to understand how it is used so we can improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where changes are material, we will notify you in the app and, where required, ask for your consent again.
